RFM HOSPITAL LABORATORY AWARDED TWO STARS AFTER EXTERNAL AUDIT

Raleigh Fitkin Memorial Hospital laboratory is in a process of improving the Quality of the service it renders to its clients. In its endeavors to achieve this very important and crucial process the lab is enrolled with strengthening Laboratory Management Towards Accredita on (SLMTA).

 

SLMTA was launched in 2009 and since been implemented in 617 laboratories in 47 countries worldwide and this includes Swaziland.It teaches laboratories enrolled with them on how to implement practical quality management systems in resource limits settings. Their programme is a structured quality improvement curriculum designed to achieve immediate and tangible advances in health service delivery.

The Ministry of Health and University Research Council here tremendously supported our lab byensuring that RFM Laboratory is enrolled in this important programme. In some of the activities carried out in SLMTA are mentorship and
